Award for rising Catalyst star

Emmet Keating, Principal at Catalyst, has won the accolade of Finance Professional of the Year in leading Midlands awards ceremony, Birmingham Young Professional of the Year.

Emmet, who joined Catalyst in 2006 and has worked on market leading deals including ScriptSwitch, Aim Aviation and AVF during his time with Catalyst, was presented with the award by Olympian Derek Redmond during a gala ceremony at Birmingham's International Conference Centre on May 17th 2011. He beat off fierce competition in one of the mostly keenly contested categories on the evening, impressing a panel headed by leading architect Glenn Howells and containing other high profile businesspeople including NEC Group CEO Paul Thandi and Cogent Elliott CEO Tim Pile.

"I'm delighted to have won such a prestigious award", said Keating. "It is testimony to my training at Catalyst and the fact that I am part of such a strong team."
